Anxiety
Anxiety can appear at any time, anyone can get it. If you experience it you are definitely not alone with the pandemic causing a rise in anxiety in all ages. The anxiety you feel will pass but if you wish to move through it faster, below are some anxiety busting tips!
Breathing
You can feel your heart racing which can then cause unnecessary panic. Controlling your breathing is a great way to restore calmness, try slowly breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Notice triggers and feelings
We all have certain triggers that can start off a bad feeling and an issue with our mental health, noticing these triggers can help stop the anxiety in its tracks.

Meditation
Meditating weekly/daily will help to train your brain to overcome anxious moments, there are websites and apps such as Calm and Headspace that can help start you on your mindful journey.
Talk to someone
Speak to someone about your anxiety, it will lighten the load you are carrying and make you feel better. There are therapies based on talking such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which may assist you dependant on the severity of your anxiety.
Seek further help
It is important that you seek further help if you are still not feeling well or your mental health is getting worse, there are a few options here:
Visit your University website, see what services they have available.
Make an appointment and speak to your GP about how you are feeling.
