Stress
Stress can be a product of overworking yourself. Most students encounter stress at some point in their studies, this is completely normal. However, really high levels of stress can cause irritability, mood swings and a general feeling of being overwhelmed. Below are some tips to help this feeling pass...
Walk
You will relieve stress by walking, make time for this even if it's just a 15 minute break. You won't believe the difference it can make.
Slow down
Down time is important, so after you have worked hard make sure you really switch off and relax. Take some time away from screens and computers. This is important to re-charge yourself so you can go again.
Listening to music
Listening to music can really relax your mind and your emotions, if everything is getting too much try taking a break and listening to some music, maybe even combine it with a walk in nature to stimulate more of your senses.
Seek further help
It is important that you seek further help if you are still not feeling well or your mental health is getting worse, there are a few options here:
Visit your University website, see what services they have available.
Make an appointment and speak to your GP about how you are feeling.
